![]() Your monthly account statement shows the transactions made on your credit card during the statement period. It will also show any fees or interest charged. You should check your account statement carefully and call ANZ if you have any questions. 3. Can I pay a lump sum to take care of my minimum payments and then pay nothing for the next few months?
![]() No, the minimum monthly payment (or more) needs to be paid each month. If you don't pay anything in a month, you might incur Late Payment Fees. Even if you make a payment before you receive your statement, you may still be required to pay a further minimum amount by the due date on your statement. If you are planning to go away for a while, you can set up a direct debit arrangement like CardPay Direct to ensure your minimum monthly payment is paid. Or nominate someone to make the payment for you. If ANZ does not hear from you regarding a missing payment, we may be forced to close your credit card account. 4. What is a credit limit?
![]() This is the amount you have been approved to spend on your credit card. You must not exceed this limit. Any outstanding balance exceeding the credit limit must be paid immediately and you may be charged an Overlimit Fee. You may request ANZ increase or decrease your credit limit at any time. However an increase will require approval. 5. What is a cash advance?
![]() If you need cash, and you have sufficient available credit, you can use your credit card to obtain a cash advance. ![]() In relation to credit cards, exception fees include Overlimit and Late Payment Fees that may be applied to your credit card account. An Overlimit Fee could be charged to your account when you make a purchase or cash advance, or have a recurring payment, which takes your outstanding balance over the credit limit. A Late Payment Fee could be charged if you do not pay at least the minimum amount as indicated on your monthly statement by the due date. In either case a fee of $35 may be added to your account. If you hold an ANZ Access Basic account, a fee of only $10 may apply. For information on eligibility for an ANZ Access Basic account please go to www.anz.com or your local ANZ branch. ANZ only charges one Overlimit Fee in any one monthly statement cycle, but you must pay any over limit amounts immediately. When you receive your credit card, we'll make sure you have clear and simple information about the exception fees that apply. This information is also available on www.anz.com From 1 December 2007, you will be able to request that where possible, electronically authorised purchases and cash transactions are not processed if they will cause you to exceed your credit card limit. To arrange this please visit www.anz.com or call 13 22 73 after 1 December 2007.
